Ice Box Canyon
(Red Rock Canyon NCA)

Ice Box Canyon - The trailhead for this moderate hike is located at the parking lot with the same name near mile marker 8 on the Red Rock scenic loop. The out-and-back hike follows a trail above the creek for about one mile before dropping into the drainage. The remaining 1/3 mile to the turn-around point is in the drainage, with the end point below a 50-foot waterfall in the back of the canyon. Total distance is 2.7 miles with a vertical gain of 300 feet.

Indecision Peak
(Red Rock Canyon NCA)

Indecision Peak - This is one of the peaks of the Red Rock Canyon NCA escarpment. It lies just south of Wilson Peak and can be climbed from the front or the back. The front climb is a difficult 3rd and 4th class effort. The back climb has only one or two 3rd class scrambles with the remaining hike in washes or bushwhacking the escarpment rim. The trailhead is located at the end of the high clearance road at mile marker 3 of Lovell Canyon Road behind the escarpment. It is 7 miles with 2400 feet of elevation gain. An easier yet slightly longer approach would be from the Rainbow Springs Trailhead located at the end of the high clearance road at mile marker 1 of the same. Views of Rainbow and Wilson Peaks to the north are fantastic from the limestone Indecision Point before scrambling down the sandstone to the furthest point.
