Quartzite Peak

Quartzite Peak - This is a moderately strenuous out and back hike that requires a high clearance vehicle to get to the trailhead located on Mormon Well Road just past Peekaboo Canyon. The route starts up a gentle wash for around 2.25 miles then begins a climb up the ridge leading to the rocky peak beyond. From the top, hikers get distant views for 360 degrees. The hike is 7.5 miles with 1600 feet of elevation gain. Plan for 1 hour of drive time on Mormon Well Road.
